otragiardini uses logic and sensitively to plan and create private and public gardens. From the initial analysis of the terrain and location right through to optimizing resources (especially water for irrigation), the bedding and situating of the plants, ascertaining their suitability to the habitat, and finally to the "general plan of care" for the garden.

The size of a garden is irrelative, but it should always be a place in which to find fulfillment. For that reason it's important that its layout is well thought through. Any person that passes time therein, be they gardening or simply observing, should leave nourished by its nature, and able to feed that nourishment back into the world through interpersonal relationships in the form of positive energy.

otragiardini wants to engage with the soil, with the gardens, and the personalities of all those for whom the garden is created.  

otra like otre: the ancient vessel of the Salento region in southern Italy, used to hold wine and olive oil, from the Latin word uterus, or from the Sanscript word udàram meaning womb. An otre is a vessel that protects and nurtures like the womb. Hence the choice of the name otra, a homage to the fertile femininity of mother earth.
